Reported in the Jersey version of Bailiwick Express today (15th March), Minister for Health (Tom Binet), says that their Health Services are not sustainable either. He is quoted as saying:

We need to have a fundamental rethink about Health Funding

He goes on to say: ‘I think when you pay 20% tax and year on year, you get health provision that is more and more complicated, more and more expensive, you then have to have an honest discussion with the public about what sort of health service they want and how much they’re prepared to pay for it.”

Well, we may disagree with our Jersey cousins about the best way to deal with our connectivity between the UK and France, but I have to say I completely agree with his assessment!
