The Government Work Plan (GWP) End of Term Report has now been published. It is intended to provide the incoming Assembly with a summary of notable activity delivered this term (2020-2025) and give an indication of work yet to be undertaken. Essentially a high level handover document. Consequently, it represents a mine of information for Islanders and particularly candidates to inform about what the electorate need to be made aware of when choosing who to vote for and what manifestos may or may not highlight to deal with the outstanding issues in particular. The GWP report itself is a substantial piece of reading and to assist its ‘digestibility’, I have extracted here, the individual committee plans. Helpfully, they also include the individual mandates which candidates should find useful when considering which committees they might wish to be involved with, should they be successful.
